University Laptop Program

Program Overview

Ross University has collaborated with IBM Corporation to facilitate this program for our students. IBM is offering specially priced notebooks, which meets all the University’s computing requirements, to enhance and support our students’ educational needs. This is an optional program for students to take advantage of but for those in the market for a notebook, this program is exceptional. The following website is available to accept purchases, www.cdwg.com/ross. On this website are listed the (2) University supported notebook models and all of the available accessories to chose from.

ThinkPad Hardware Configurations

There will be (2) two IBM Thinkpad models to choose from:

* When you select a laptop and accessories, PLEASE make sure you understand the MS Office 2003 Application IS NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THE LAPTOP. This application’s cost is $141 AND IS PRICED FOR PURCHASE BY STUDENTS.

ThinkPad On-Campus Configuration

Students will be able to have their IBM Notebooks configured to connect to the school’s Wireless Network and all necessary academic applications and data on campus. This configuration will be completed when you arrive on campus by the Information Technology department. During the configuration process, the IT department will install the University's antivirus program, for which there is a $15 USD to cover the antivirus license, shortcuts to student applications and data, as well as any necessary security updates.

Payment

Students will purchase laptops directly from IBM Corporation. IBM will accept most major credit cards for the laptop purchase.
